On Saturday night Jace McDougal passed away. He was 7 weeks old. Our hearts are broken for his parents JR & Cher McDougal. God will be faithful and give them added grace and mercy just as he has given Steve and I since losing Christopher.
Please pray for JR and Cher during this time. JR and Cher shared this very intimate journey with all of us.

I know all of Jace's family that has gone on to heaven before him welcomed him with loving open arms, and I know Christopher probably gave him a high 5 on the way in.
Romans 8:18
Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later.

- This blog was intended to chronicle Stevie Dee's journey while in the NICU and to honor our son Christopher who passed away a day after they were born. Stevie Dee Hickman & Christopher David Hickman were born on May 11, 2008 at 29 weeks 3 days. Stevie was born at 1:42pm (3 lbs 1 oz 16"), and Christopher followed at 1:43pm (3 lbs 2 oz 16"). Christopher went home to be the Lord at 9:50am on May 12th. After 8.5 weeks in the NICU Stevie Dee came home on July 9, 2008. She is having a blast with her mom and dad, and dog Wheezer.
