It was a great week - thank you Lord!
Stevie was weighed today at Dr. Mobley's - she gained a little over 1 lb in 2 weeks - that was a relief!
Stevie's current weight - 7 lbs 14 oz (she's HUGE!)
Camp Christopher total contributions to date - $1375 (only $23,625 to go) We can do it!
In addition to having her weight checked this week we also took her back to the pediatric eye specialist on Tuesday morning. She still has stage 1 retinopathy, BUT her eyes are okay, and developing normally. Thank you LORD! We will go back early Sept for her follow up and if all looks okay we will see hime next year!
It's so awesome to hear your child is okay and progressing - my single prayer is that Stevie will have a very long, happy, joy-filled life. I know that is what every parent wants for their child.
We're sharing a new video this week. We think it's funny when Stevie sucks on her pacifier or what we call her Nu-Nu (pr: noo-noo). She makes the craziest noises. I've heard people say that preemie babies have some crazy languages.

- This blog was intended to chronicle Stevie Dee's journey while in the NICU and to honor our son Christopher who passed away a day after they were born. Stevie Dee Hickman & Christopher David Hickman were born on May 11, 2008 at 29 weeks 3 days. Stevie was born at 1:42pm (3 lbs 1 oz 16"), and Christopher followed at 1:43pm (3 lbs 2 oz 16"). Christopher went home to be the Lord at 9:50am on May 12th. After 8.5 weeks in the NICU Stevie Dee came home on July 9, 2008. She is having a blast with her mom and dad, and dog Wheezer.

Oh I am so happy for ya'll, finally getting to enjoy your baby girl who is growing so healthy and normal! Praise God!
Thank you for sharing the video, I just love it, her sucking her nu-nu is the cutest thing. I have a thing for them, I Love when a baby sucks on one :) So cute, so cute, esp. hers, it takes up her whole little face! Oh it's just precious, I want to squeeze her!!!!!
